Narrative Bio

Hometown: Royal Oak, MI

Undergraduate: Michigan State University; BS Human Biology

Medical School: Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Hobbies/Interests: I love outdoor activities - rollerblading the Detroit riverwalk, playing tennis with my family, and crossing National Parks off my bucket list. I’m also trying to learn how to ski! In the fall my Saturdays are dedicated to Michigan State Football.

Why Med-Peds: One of the things I value most in medicine is continuity. I believe the training Med-Peds offers - to develop expertise in both pediatric and adult medicine - sets me up to be the best primary care doc I can be! I also love the exposure Med-Peds residents get to complex patients!

Why DMC/Detroit: I grew up in Detroit, wanted to stay local, and wanted to work with an underserved population. I also wanted to be at a program where I’d see everything I possibly could in my four years. Being at Level 1 centers in the heart of an urban area is the perfect opportunity to get unmatched exposure to pathology. Last and most importantly - i vibed with the residents here. Everyone is incredibly welcoming and supportive, and that’s exactly what you need to be successful in residency.

Career Goals: Med-Peds Primary Care
