Hometown: Farmington Hills, MI
Undergraduate: Michigan State University (Go Green!)
Medical School: Wayne State University School of Medicine
Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy videogames, staying active by working out at the gym or playing sports (I recently started rock climbing too!), reading for pleasure, and eating. I’m also a pretty big college football/basketball fan.
Why Med-Peds: Transitions and continuity! MedPeds allows us to patients all of ages and sizes. I like the fact that we can serve as bridge as a patient moves from the pediatric world to the adult world. In addition, it gives us the opportunity to develop long term relationships with our patients.
Why DMC/Detroit: The people. I think that there a lot of great people here who are really willing to help you grow and become not only a better person but a better physician as well. In particular, I think that the Med-Peds family here is a collection of wonderful people who go the extra mile to help their patients and their peers. The patients you will see here will have a significant impact on your development from both a medical knowledge and holistic standpoint.
Career Goals: Still not completely sure! I think right now I’m between hospitalist medicine and a combined fellowship. Primary care isn’t completely off the table either.
