Hobbies/Interests: Outside of medicine I enjoy cooking and baking. Currently I’m working on building a collection of tried-and-true recipes, especially those that involve using my instant pot and air fryer. Other hobbies of mine are photography, traveling, trying different restaurants, and exploring nearby parks. You can also find me spending time with friends and families sharing about life and involving them in my hobbies.
Why Med-Peds: I wanted to be able to take care of patients of all ages and all members of a family especially childhood illnesses that progress to adulthood. I also liked the flexibility of Med-Peds and having opportunities to practice in different settings and change as I progress in my career.
Why DMC/Detroit: The family feel of the program and the residents. I also wanted to be in an urban area with exposure to a wide range of pathology. There’s also lots to do in Detroit like trying different cuisines, walking along the Detroit Riverwalk and visiting the Eastern Market on Saturdays.
Career Goals: Some kind of mix of hospitalist and primary care in a medically underserved area, but I’m open to anything I might find interesting during my 4 years here.
