Medical School: Ross University School of Medicine

Hobbies/Interests: Weirdly enough, I love exercising, especially running & playing tennis! I always feel good/better after a good workout and it is the best way for me to relieve stress. Otherwise, I love traveling, talking to friends, and spending time with my family & my dog Heiko.

Why Med-Peds: I initially was attracted to pediatrics but, soon realized how much I loved continuity and being able to care for patients of all ages which led me to Med-Peds (and maybe also the fact that I genuinely enjoyed IM floors)! I enjoy being able to care for acute & complex cases which is a plus. I also liked the flexibility and the number of opportunities this specialty offers.

Why DMC/Detroit: Hands down the program, the faculty and its residents! With my family being in Montreal, I wanted to be a part of a program that will feel like a second family to me. Additionally, I wanted a place that would offer me a variety of pathologies and truly permit me to be "ready" after finishing residency. There is also so much to do in Detroit and a great place to find and try different foods!

Career Goals: Still deciding but, the idea of a mixture of inpatient & outpatient sounds good to my ears! With being this early on into residency and having a lot more to see/experience, there is still time before a decision needs to be made!
