Hometown: Bamenda, Cameroon / Houston, Texas

Medical School: Trinity School of Medicine

Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy travelling, with my top destinations so far being Iceland, Costa Rica and St Lucia. Other hobbies include playing Tennis, Soccer and learning to use my Canon DSRL Camera.

Why Med-Peds: Med / Peds was a natural course taken after having worked with both patient populations as a Respiratoty Therapist for a little over a decade before returning to school. I enjoyed the similarities as well as the diversity in the medical practices between both populations, and desired to continue my professional career serving both.

Why DMC/Detroit: DMC/Detroit provides me with a diverse patient population and formidable attendings and preceptors to help me hone my skills and prepare myself for optimum success post residency. Being southern raised, this was also another opportunity to venture beyond my comfort constraints to experience a new culture rich city remerging back into its prominence.

Career Goals: I would like to either pursue a hybrid career path between primary care and hospitalist, or seek post residency fellowship in pulmonary and critical care in both adult and pediatrics.
